My camera does not have the best of zooms and these roe deer were over a field away but I think, even at this distance, you can see how totally aware they were that Saari and I were around.  The next moment they galloped off over the horizon.

This part of Normandy is wonderful for wildlife - on the same walk I saw a large family of long-tailed tits, several buzzards, 2 robins and a field with about 10 herons standing in it, like statues.  We regularly see hares which I love.
